I'm a figurative artist..I paint, sculpt and print.
I paint and draw the figure.. dancers, underwater figures..all nudes. I'm interested in the line and tension and movement of the figure, using light sometimes where it is, where it was and where it's going to be.
I don't do preparatory sketches or drawings, I can visualise the image and just invent it straight onto the canvas.
The 'torc' series of pictures shows how the piece develops.
I have been working on an awareness project against female circumcision (FGM), Amnesty In ternational, in San Francisco, have asked to use the images in a touring exhibition starting march 2009.
Presently, I'm working on life drawings, some of them life-size, eventually to be made into a 'coffee table' book, probably A2, made in the studio.
Have just started a set of drawings and paintings of 'fetish / bondage' portraits..mainly from the waist up.
Also, building a body of erotic work for a show in Cologne scheduled for later in the year.
Other than that...no rules
